Hey guys,
OK i just finished watching Thunderbirds. Like for the 20th time.
Is it a good movie?
no.
So why do I watch it?
Simple.
Its the THUNDERBIRDS!

How many of you actually know the Thunderbirds?
Thunderbirds.. are..the stuff my childhood dreams were made from.
It was an 1980s Supermarionation series that aired for over a decade.
Cult legend.
Here's how it goes, the story.
There's this billionaire ex astronaut, Jef Tracey, who loses his wife in a freak ski accident. So he, in light of this, dedicates his billions and his five sons and a private island villa to forming a secret technologically advanced Rescue Operation knows as International Rescue. For this, he designed and built (mainly) 5 rescue vehicles that he uses for various high-risk rescue operation all around the globe. These vehicles are:
Thunderbird 1: A supersonic Jet capable of reaching speeds of Mach 9. Used as a First-on-the-scene unit, Thunderbird one is always loaded with emergency rescue equipment and supplies to be inserted to the scene of the disaster first. Thunderbird 1 is docked under the Villa's Swimming pool.
Thunderbird 2: A heavy freight aircraft. Used as the work horse of International Rescue, Thunderbird 2 is capable of holding various smaller vehicles and equipment in its immense cargo hold to be transported to the scene of the disaster. Although not nearly as fast as Thunder bird 1, Thunderbird 2 is still capable of reaching speeds of Mach 3, so its not too far behind. Thunderbird 2 is docked the villa and exits through an underground runway.
Thunderbird 3: A Multiple Entry and Re-Entry Vehicle. This is international rescue's very own shiny red space shuttle. It has 3 immense Jet boosters that it uses for unassisted atmospheric breach and entry. mainly used for emergencies in high altitudes and to travel in space. Thunderbird 3 is docked under the Island's observation tower.
Thunderbird 4: A tactical submarine used for all sea operations. It is permenantly docked inside Thunderbird 2's cargo hold.
Thunderbird 5: An orbital Space Station. It taps in on all global networks and collects data on any emergency that needs the attention of the International Rescue. The 5 Tracy brother take turns to man Thunderbird 5. They travel to and from Thunderbird 5 via Thunderbird 3.
Apart from these 5 main vehicles International Rescue has many other smaller vehicles and equipment in their arsenal. They use these on case by case basis to rescue and dissolve disasters both.
Why would any adolecent boy NOT like something like this?
Why?
In anycase i enjoyed telling you guys this. Because i know kids from this generation will never have heard of the Thunderbirds.
