"Pain is good, Pain means i'm alive." His voice echoed throughout the jungle floor.
With much effort and unholy levels of pain, Tony heaved his torso out of the now damp and cold soil. With all his effort he could only manage to get half his body out of the soil, his thighs and everything beyond were very much buried. But that was good enough. Tony manually disengaged his gaunlets and reached for a camouflaged panel just below his damaged Unibeam port. He flipped the panel open and keyed in a series of codes. The hazard lights came online.
"Good morning Tony. Iron-Tech systems online. Running full system diagnostics."
"Armor, where am i? and please disengage peripheral hardware."
"Your Current Location is 51°27'52" East. 6 miles off the Ras Hafun border."
There was a great hiss and the heavy Iron Man armor fell away in one fluid motion. Tany Wriggled his was out of his buried position and pulled imself up on some rocks.
"Great, i'm aching, I'm dehydrated and I'm stuck in Somalia of all places....armor establish a link with Stark industries and patch me in to James Rhodes"
Theres a series of clicks and 30 seconds later James Rupert Rhodes' voice cackled on the headset built into the Iron Man helmet.
Rhodes: Rhodes.
Tony: James, it's me.
Rhodes: Tony! man where the hell are you? You've been on Radio Silence for the past 9 hours.
Tony: Yeah, i was taking an extended toilet break. Listen man, i need an Evac. as soon as possible...
Rhodes: Yeah, i'm getting your coordinates right now. What are you doing in Somalia man? You were supposed to report in at Kenya...
Tony: Well it's actually kinda funny, but i'd rather tell you in person.
Rhodes: Yeah, allright. Jarvis is already on his way to you. ETA should be within the next 6 hours or so. You Gotta sit tight till that man.
Tony: Right. Iron Man out.
Tony clicked off his radio and set the helmet beside him. Thankfully the natural canopy above him and the tropical setting around him made for a good refuge.
"Six hours eh? Shouldn't be too hard."
