Hey guys,
OK i know i've been letting the Show die off these few weeks,
But i've been busy,
Like real busy.
NS busy.
I enlisted on the 14th.
I was a total wreck on my first day.
It never showed but i was at a total lost with my new life.
Tekong wasn't a fun place for me back then.
Heck, it still isn't
Imagine this.
You and your friends-11 of you-live in a small room with 2 tables, some chairs, one bed and closet, a door that dosen't lock and windows that spit insects. You have to walk for nearly 10 minutes to get your meals and the bathrooms have no doors.
Not fun.
But its still home.
Thats tekong.
Speaking of friends.
I've made a ton.
My bunk mates:
Seenu- The eccentric indian guy that curses at everyone.
Mia- The Party Animal.
Shiek- The loud mouth metal head.
Jo- One of the nicest guys on the fucking island, fellow yishun lover.
Wei zher- My buddy who contrasts me in every form, in a good way.
Jasper- The resident polar bear.
Alip- Our very own anuggrah wannabe.
Wei Ying- Our chong.
Maruthi- Sean Kingston form India.
Raymond- the timid body builder.
And there's me.
My new family.
Life in Tekong is that much more fun with these guys around.
Training wise..
well training's a bitch.
But you aspire to pespire to feel pain and see gain.
Tough times don't last, tough men do.
SAF brainwash?
Not when you actually understand the meaning behind those words.
I for one, believe in the army.
As flawed as it may be at times.
Two weeks in, i've grown to like maybe even love my time in the army. The cool stuff haven't even begun yet. wait till i get my rifle.
But on the whole, apart from the aching muscles and scorching red scalp, i think i'm gonna miss Tekong when its all done.
Cheers to that day.
