For this entry im just gonna cut the intro crap and tell you about The Chevrons
The Chevrons is one of Singapore's most luxurious Dineing Halls
Built exclusively for Government bodies..
The Canberra Grass Roots Organisation had its annual retreat Dinner there yesterday
To co-incide with the CC's groundbreaking..
The YEC was of course invited..
So yeah ..
We went...expecting nothing
We were fucking blown away..
It was a suprise..
The dinner was supposed to be held at Swensons
We were soooo friggin' mistaken
13 course dinner..
$257 per head..
Free flow of a choice of 6 soft drinks for the Youth Tables..
Coke, Root beer, Miranda, Jolly Shandy, Sprite and 7-up
No prizes for guessing which one i chose
Abalone..Shark's fin soup, tiger prawns big as my palm, lobster,rosted pigeon and ham.
God i don't know what the hell i ate..
First time i had ever been to a course dinner
First time in my life i'd eaten pigeon..or abalone
First time i've ever had jolly shandy in my glass 20 seconds after i'd emptied it..
My god
The dinner was goood
And Dessert
Tiramisu
Fucking Tiramisu
The bloody things were served in freeking soup bowls..
My god..
I ate like a pound or two..
And to top it off my "date" was gorgeous!
Suba was in this extreamly elegant fairy like dress..
Absolutely everyone was gawking at her..
Seriously even i have to admit she was damn hot.
(ok im just gonna stop here)
All in all i would enjoyed much better if my friends had been there
Serena to blindly gulp down coke..
Gary to explain to me exactly how the waiters work..
Nick to scheme on how to get us a bottle of Hennesy.
Rajes and Steph to blindly gobble down the tiramisu..
Yep.
That would have been good..
(the halal table was far away so im sorry syafiq and iman..you would be left out)
This my friends..
Is why the YEC is worth my time
