Hey guys,
Firstly an apology for the previous post.
I was super off center and tired and pissed and emotional and tired when i wrote that.
Because seriously things were that fucked up.
Thanks Sarah.
Many people care about blogs.. .
Very few care about the blogger.
(this means you too Serena)
I've been rushing projects and reports the whole week.
Had like 9 hours of sleep the whole of last WEEK.
I'm not exaggerating..
This combined with 2 family members admitted in hospitals.
My Uncle and my cousin (whom i'm close to).
Not to mention the Masquerade Nite preparations.
Sleep deprivation.
Migrains.
The Dj fiasco.
I can hold myself together very well.
Better than the average i dare say.
But everyone has their limits.
Even me.
So yeah.
That pretty much explains the last week.
But I'm back!
Well almost.
I'll be good as golden-brown gold by tomorrow!
Haha
So anyways.
Masquerade Nite '06 is OVER people!
The first event that pushed me hard is Over!
Hahaha
Kudo's to Serena for a Job well done!
Things didn't look as good as they did in our minds...thats a fact.
But nontheless it was fun.
I managed to enjoy myself a little i guess.
The MCs did a good job.
The crowd was a cold hard bitch.
but the MCs did alright.
Proud of you Suba and Vinleon!
Next time, regardless of what others say, come to me when your script is done.
I know best.
I'll come to you guys when i need help with econs or the relitivity theory...
but oratorical stuff...i'm your guy.
Even then you guys were excellent.
Backstage's biggest fuck-up was not opening the backstage doors.
I seriously apologize.
Won't happen again.
Food was good, so were the bands.
I'm gonna give Jes's band some credit.
They were good.
Thanks guys, couldn't have done it without ya'll
Ed...me, you, john, cliff and Jonathan are going for drinks!
I'm buying!
You guys were off the hook
At the rehersals you gave me a 100%
Yesterday it was 120%!
Thanks bro.
And the dedication was sweet of you.
The DJ, as expected, was a waste of money.
First time i've seen a DJ that dosen't have a stand light for his console.
He must have had the impression that at 9pm, in a school hall, with the lights off there would be plenty of light for him to "mix".
Dumbass.
He pushed tracks for like 30 minutes...figured that he can't see his mixer consoles...then turned on the lights.
And that killed the dance-floor.
So yeah,
We paid $300 for 1/2 hour of music and 2 days of fuck-ups.
...
I'm not pointing fingers.
Just saying that we're not gonna make the same mistake twice.
The aftermath of the event took a toll on me.
Cleaning up was a bitch.
Not to mention there was almost no help from any of the new YEC members.
Sigh...
But i'll say this.
I went home with a smile on my face.
We may have done it roughly..but we still did it.
As usual my dear YEC members...
Can't live with you, Can't live without you!
Note: 3 cheers for the worst week of 2006
